If a man is strange, where do you think that shows up in his body? You can usually see it in the face … and maybe in the hair, a part of his body that should be under his control (though mine rarely is!). But three compounds reveal that strangeness can lodge elsewhere, even in the bones!
奇声 (kisei: peculiar voice) strange + voice
This doesn’t refer to a voice that’s peculiar from the get-go. Rather, it usually refers to a voice that becomes abnormal in moments of insanity or drunkenness.
奇形 (kikei: deformity, abnormality, birth defect)
strange + shape奇骨 (kikotsu: (1) an eccentric bone system (in humans and animals); (2) an excellent personality; (3) a personality that’s strong because of its strangeness) strange + bone
