The loanword サービス (sābisu: service) usually means “to work without reward.”
The phrase サービス残業 (sābisu zangyō) means “working overtime in an office or factory without overtime pay.” Either the boss refuses to pay for that overtime work or the employee is pressured not to demand such pay.
Service with a smile? Not in this case, I imagine.
