confusion on kanji

like there is 明 read as ''aka (rui), aki (raka), a (kari)'' in kun-yomi and ''mei/myou'' in on-yomi . 日read as ''hi/ ka'' in kun-yomi and ''nichi/ji'' in on-yomi then they create the word 明日and then why does it become ''ashita'' ? someone help me im confuse!! :cry: :cry: :cry: :(

Konnichiwa.
Well… basically kanji has kun-yomi and on-yomi as you know.
However, they have special readings sometimes.
One of those examples is ashita.
I know it makes you confused however it is what is is…
I can’t change it and it is the Japanese language.

so i have to leave aside the kun-yomi readings and on-yomi readings and remember that 明日 is ashita? Thanks by the way! :D
