Visiting Japan Towns In the U.S.

Postby Wes1378 » July 24th, 2012 4:05 am

I did a tour of the two largest of three official Japan Towns in The U.S., and attempted to make a video to give people a glimpse of them.

Very interesting. Sadly, we don't have anything like this in the UK, so I'm now feeling very envious...

Lacking

It's shame that the Japanese population has decrease and the lack of japan towns throughout the nation. Although we're learning Japanese it's becoming obsolete since Chinese is reigning Asia.

> Wes1378-san,
Wow!! Thank you very much for the link!!
I personally have never been to US, and never heard of "Japan Town" at all. It seems it's huuuuuge!
I loved how they created Japanese garden. It's beautiful.

I know what you mean. Even I myslf feel the same

> ropheyt9369-san,
Well, don't feel sad; decrease in population doesn't have much to do with needs for Japanese language!!
I sincerely don't believe Japanese became obsolete because of China, and never will. So, hang in there! :D

I'll have to visit someday, though, I'd personally prefer a trip to Tokyo, Japan. Ideally, I'd visit both if I had the money. :)
Until then, I can thankfully stay connected with the Japanese thanks to the Internet with places like Japanese101, youtube, Twitter, and Skype.
