Mixi has recently changed their policy, and they now require a Japanese cell phone email address as verification. This is unfortunate as it bars millions of foreigners who are learning Japanese.

For those who do have a Japanese phone, please PM someone on this topic who has a Mixi account with your Japanese cell email, and they'll invite you.

If anyone can find the policy that states the change, it would be great to have it posted here.

Finally! Someone actually took the time to read my post.

Again, if someone can prove me wrong about mixi NOT requiring a Japanese phone email to register, then please PM people who have an account.

I can do you one better. http://i43.tinypic.com/2ag3f53.png It says that the registration confirmation code will be sent to the mobile phone email address.
