I have a question for you and I hope you can answer for me please.

How do you write Kerin in Japanese and what does it mean?
The name Kerin is it a unisex name or is it a guy's name or girl's name in
particulary?

From Nobuo Sato's book Write your name in Kanji.

Edward is given as rich guardian.
Normally foreign names are written in katakana. エドワード
福守（ふくもり）would be a name with only the meaning "rich guardian".
or you could go for 衛努話雅度　（えどわうど）
which as well as the correct reading gives a "meaning" akin to "one who often negotiates smartly trying to guard" hence a guardian.
But you'd have to explain the meaning or readings on these.

I originally attempted to translate my actual English name to Japanese (ジョナサン エドワード ギバード) as you also may see above, although I'm not too sure on the accuracy. My christian/first name 'Jonathan' comes from Hebrew, originally spelt 'Yonatan', & means, "Yahweh (God) has given". My middle name 'Edward' comes from Old English, originally spelt 'Ēadweard', is from my Grandpa's name, & means "happy/prosperous guard". My surname 'Gibbard' comes from Old German, originally spelt 'Gebhardt', & is thought to refer to the Hebrew name 'Gabriel', which means, "God is my strong man/hero".

As you can see I'm very interested in name meanings & origins haha XD

I have a question btw, in ordering your name in a Japanese way (surname first), what happens with middle name/s? Would it go: surname, christian/first name, middle name/s? I know it's generally accepted for westerners to say their name as normal, but I'd still like to know regardless, thankyou.

Yes, if your middle name is included, the order goes:

Surname - First name - middle name

This is how my name appears on my bank book here in Japan

In the name Nakashima Yusuke, Nakashima is the surname and Yusuke is the first name ^^

I know it kinda makes up names no matter what you type in.

But I would like to know both my japanese name corresponding to the meaning and the phonetic equivalent.
My name is Janes (similar to James, male also) Witthake (old German for white rake (refering to people working with rakes in lime production)
I already found out white is しろ　in kana or 白in kanji.
and rake レーキ (rēki) in both kana and kanji.
Would it make sense to combine those two to get the meaning of a white rake?
A phonetic translation in Katakana might be something like
ヤ(Ja/Ya) ネ(ne) ス(s[u]) ヤネス (Janes[u]), right?
