How about... Cooking Classes?

Postby rillaine » August 26th, 2010 10:58 am

Hello everyone!
It's like in the subject.
Learning language is so much more fun when connected with other aspects of Japan.
On JapanesePod101 we have culture classes witch I find great by the way.
But how about upgrading our japanese knowledge by learning even more?
I'm a big fan of japanese food and I'd really love to know more about cooking it.
Like some info about regional food and traditions and some recipies and then maybe a few videos on how to prepare some of those delicious dishes.

What do you think?

Mmm! Sounds Fun!! I would definitely join in on that!! There is so much vocabulary that you use when cooking, such as the name of vegetables, and such. They should make a mini-season! :o

They had a couple before covering karaage and nikujaga. Why not check out some recipes online to pick up the vocab and then try watching some videos on YouTube or something. The Chinese recipes on Japanese websites seem to be more authentic than the watered-down rubbish on English ones, so I've been trying a few of those lately. I recommend マーボー豆腐 :D
