Dictionairy confusion

Postby kdptv1403_518022 » November 15th, 2017 1:30 am

Hi, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I couldn't see anywhere suitable.
When using the dictionary why are some words and/or conjugations not in the database?
For example, in my flashcards, I get this
to turn on, to switch on, to light up; V2
Senpūki o tsukete suzunda.
I cooled myself by turning on the fan.

I can see in the example given above tsukeru is conjugated into tsukete, but the word itself is not in the dictionary or at least examples of it under tsukeru. The same thing happens with suzunda, I only found the meaning by copying the kanji "涼".
While the example above is easy to figure out, it would be a great help if I could copy a word into the dictionary from my lessons and flashcards without having "0 entries found"

I'm still really new to Japanese, I can understand hiragana and katakana but have not learned any kanji. I'm still in the newbie series.
Thanks for the help.

Thank you for posting.
We don't add the vocabulary words in the conjugated form in our dictionary.
I can advise you to search the stem of the word there for results.
