Newbie Lesson 6 Missing?

Hi,
So far, I'm enjoying the audio newbie lessons on the website! But for some reason, I'm not sure if it's just me or if it's a technical problem, I'm unable to find Newbie Lesson 6 in the podcast feed or in the website.

I have been having the same problem too. There are a number of newbie lessons that just seem to have disappeared. I was able to reveal some of them threw URL editing not to long ago but can't seem to do it anymore.


I was able to do this before because I noticed these seemingly random variations in the URLs

and just changed some of them around to unhide a few of the lessons. Like I said doesn't seem to work anymore though...I'm guessing the fact that some are missing is a mistake. I hope anyway

I just joined and was going to ask the same question when I saw this post... is there a NBS1 lesson 6?

I'm thinking of joining, but am concerned about the "disappearing content" issues that seem to be cropping up in the forum posts. I went through Newbie 1-5 and came in here looking for Newbie 6... shame that it's been six months and there's not even an acknowledgement of this issue. They could even say "we lost that one, sorry" and it would be better than the crickets...

A few missing lessons aren't that much of a problem as it's possible that they may have been covered in another lesson and were therefore removed.

Have you seen the number of lessons here and if you have a premium membership and download every podcast item it comes to about 20gb of data.

Could a Jpod101 team member let these guys know what happened to the missing lessons.

but not only is lesson 6 missing - Lessons 16 and 17 are also no where to be found.

kinda makes you wonder how many of the other lessons could possibly be missing.

but hopefully this gets resolved.

i checked the forums earlier and there was someone who posted a thread talking about Lower Intermediate lesson #56 was missing. But this post was back in 2007! Were obviously in 2010 now and lesson 56 still remains to this day, missing.

I found another post in the Tech Support forum from last summer wherein someone said that there were certain "missing" lessons due to numbering errors. So... I'm not going to worry about it; the lessons that are there are great, so I've signed up!

Suggestion: A list of the missing lessons should be posted as a "sticky"

These lessons are missing from the Basic Feed, but I was able to listen to them in the Learning Center. This was inconvenient, because I had to be in front of my computer and I normally listen on an ipod. I could not figure out a way to download the audio from the learning center and get it into iTunes.

Thanks for posting!

It looks like all of the lessons you listed are Throwback Thursday lessons - these lessons won't show up on the Basic Feed the day are published (as a Throwback Thursday lesson); instead, they appear on the Basic Feed under their original publish date only.
