My Feed not picking up new lessons

Postby chequer » July 7th, 2008 6:28 pm

Suddenly my 'My Feed' has stopped picking up new podcasts. Any suggestions?

I subscribed to the general JapanesePod101.com podcast via iTunes and that downloads all the lessons fine. So far, it's affected the Upper and Lower Intermediate lessons.

I've just noticed that the description of the feed has changed too.

What was described as the feed for Premium Lessons is now showing as Newbie Lessons instead. That's changed since Friday and I hadn't noticed.

The Intermediate Lower and Upper have both changed their descriptions too.

Anything I can do beyond deleting and downloading again?

Yeah, I noticed that too, and I think it has to do with the introduction of the new lesson type : yojijukugo.

My guess is that whatever algorithm they are using to generate the My Feed urls is affected by the number of lesson types available that can be subscribed to. So it seems that things got shifted somewhat.

If only there was a way to manually change the URL in itunes. I've been looking but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this. And even if it could be changed , I'm not sure if it would fix the problem.

It's a bit of a pain, but I just created another My Feed with the lessons types that I am missing and am using a smart playlist to organize it all.

I'm having the same problem, but when I tried to start a new "My Feed" I couldn't.

The box that has the link to ITunes is blank.

Any suggestions?

Your not much help.

I can't get My Feed to work.

So, I switched to premiem feed. I would rather have to much than not enough.
