Penpals in Japan

Postby rainlong » January 15th, 2007 3:15 am

One way that I have found which is useful for learning Japanese has been having a penpal in Japan. We exchange information about what isaa going on in our home countries, and we have lso become good friends. How about a lesson with phrases and such that would be useful when having an email or phone penpal? My penpal and I send airmail, talk on yahoo messenger, email and phone. How to ask politely for a homestay, etc.

Certain phrases about having sent an email a few days ago, saying that you are going to send an email soon, something about leaving voicemail, what postage rates are, etc. would be very useful! I find myself wondering how to ask such phrases such as 'how have you been since your last message' stuff like that. Then maybe some helpful websites for finding language exchange friends in Japan. How bout it? :P
