Flash instead of Java

Postby mscola » September 28th, 2008 10:42 pm

Hi

I like the "My Voice Recorder" feature. However, I don't like Java because you have to a) install a plug-in and b) the JRE uses a lot of memory. So if you have a computer that doesn't have lots of RAM you will end up having a slow machine, while the Java Runtime Environment is loaded.

If, on the other hand, this voice recorder application was written in Flash, users wouldn't have to download yet another plugin as Adobe Flash is installed on almost all webbrowsers, as it is the most ubiquitous platform available: On the PC, on consoles (like Wii), mobile phones etc.

Would it be too difficult to write the same application in Flash? It would be great to have this app in Flash.

I love JapanesePod101.com. I use it almost every day and it has helped me a lot.
