Conditional sentences in Japanese

Postby minn245 » March 21st, 2018 8:43 am

Hello Everyone!
I need some help.
I don't understand how conditional sentences work in Japanese and why Japanese people don't understand the difference between the different conditional forms. Especially the third conditional about past situations.
What's the grammar I need to learn to be able to make sentences such as:
1. If it rains, I will stay at home.
2. If it rained, I would stay at home.
3. If it had rained, I would have stayed at home.
Thank you for any help in advance! :flower:
