Translation help: "言葉 使い が 悪い人"?

Postby idkhtdt » December 22nd, 2017 2:38 pm

Hello!
My Japanese is kind of basic and English is not my first language so please bear with me...
I'm trying to translate a small interview. The question was "what type of people do you hate?" and the answer was "言葉 使い が 悪い人" ("kotoba tsukai ga warui hito"). Only that.
Could someone please help me understand it? Is it possible to say if that answer means:
A) people who speak incorrectly (for example, with poor grammar skills)?
B) people who use offensive words (who curse / swear)?
C) people who say things with negative intentions?
or D) people who have difficulty expressing themselves?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! :D

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's B) people who use offensive language or language that's not suited for everyday life.

Hi all,

Thank you for asking the question and helping other users!! Yes, B is the correct answer. 言葉使いが悪い人 also means who use unpleasant words and appear rude to others. I hope helps.
