japanese pod study guide

Postby rtveronese2766 » March 11th, 2016 7:48 am

Hello fellas

I need a good strategy guide on how to use all the tools in japanese pod, in an orderly and efficient manner. The amount of knowledge here is so vast and it seems so scattered that I admit I am completely lost.

I need advice from an older student who got proficiency by applying a routine guide, something like "first do the lesson, then put words in the word bank, et cetera."

Thanks in advance.

Rodolfo.

Someone recommended me study the path below. I'm only on Beginner Season 4, but so far it has been super helpful to follow this pattern. As for studying, I usually read the conversation as best I can in kanji, then hiragana and finally romaji. Then I write down the vocab (I've been meaning to put the vocab in Anki to study more thoroughly) and read through the rest of the lesson notes before playing the lesson. I try to read the convo along with them and usually do this using romaji. Then take notes on the grammar points and write down Jpod example sentences, and try to make a few of my own before reading them out loud. Then once a week or more I go back through and review my notes. Hope this helps! Good luck!

1) Newbie Seasons 2 + 3 OR Newbie Season 4 (if you don’t feel confident about the material, do both)
2) Newbie Season 5
3) Particles (classified under “Bonus Courses”)
4) Beginner Seasons 4-6
5) Japanese for Everyday Life Lower Intermediate
6) Lower Intermediate Seasons 2-6 (in reverse order)
7) Advanced Audio Blog Season 1
8) Upper Intermediate Seasons 1-5
9) Advanced Audio Blog Seasons 2-6
