verb negative form +と = must + verb?

こんばんは、

I read a dialogue today, and noticed that "verb negative form + と" were used twice:

A: 今晩１０時から日本とブラジルのサッカーの試合がありますね。
B: ああ、そうですね。ぜひ見ないと…。サントスさんはどちらが勝つと思いますか。
...
A:ええ、わたしもそう思いますが、…。あ、もう帰らないと…。
B: そうですね。じゃ、帰りましょう。

It seems to me, 見ないと means "must watch it"; 帰らないと means "must go home, should go home."
I cannot find any grammar rule for ".verbないと," I wonder if this is some kind of simplified form.

A ないとis shortened forms of ないといけない and なければならない which means "must do A"

Example:
急がないと (must hurry)

just to add a bit, ～ないと is a casual shorten version.
The dialogue was an informal conversation, right?
～ないといけない is already informal/casual way and from there いけない was dropped.

Formal ways are ～なければならない or なければいけない
