歳or才?

歳or才?

I've learned that 才 means "-years old" but now Peter-san answers me with the kanji 歳.
What kanji should I use:
何才です or 何歳です

Replied to your question in the Beginner Lesson #65 thread. But the short version is that both are used but the simple one is used more than the complex one (I actually learnt the complex one before the easy one!)
