JET program-Can I get in with an online degree?

Postby lonna_senpai » March 8th, 2010 3:32 pm

I have looked up a college called American Public University. It is accredited and everything looks official. I got my AA at the public college here but I want to go into English as a major and can't drive to any colleges because they are all far away.

So will JET take me if my bachelors came from an online college? I will be getting a bachelors in English.

I tried signing up for the JET forum but something messed up and it can't get my emial to match my login name.

Please help!

Check the website for a phone number or contact email or get another email and sign up to the forum again.

I wouldn't fret about it. I got through with a letter written from the head of my department that I was on the path to graduation and would have a BS degree before Departing to Japan. I never had to go through extra steps even though I never submitted a copy of the BS degree.

I think you should go by the site's guidelines which says "College graduates with at least a BA or BS -OR- a 3 year teaching degree; degree must be conferred before July 1 of the departure year "

It doesn't rule out online-colleges.
I think you'll get through fine.
