こんにちは!
I have recently learnt how to read hiragana and I am moving on to katakana soon. I don't know many words but I am looking for a easy to read book. Does anyone have any names? I don't mind if the book has katakana written too
ありがとう。

Hi
i started with this one: http://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Reader-Collection-1-Hikoichi/dp/1482373343/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1439844219&sr=8-1&keywords=hikoichi
Its rather easy and there are furigana over each kanji. Its japanese and english, so you can always have a look at the translation if you are not sure what the text says.
have fun.

I'm actually trying to build a database of books like this over at www.thehonrepository.com! Maybe something over there can help you.
And if any of you have any suggestions or books you think might fit the bill, please add them to the database. I would love to make it a great resource for those looking to get better at reading Japanese books.

I must totally recommend the Japanese Graded Readers series by White Rabbit.
I really needed some practice reading to reinforce what I've learnt so far (almost 4 months now), and I wasn't sure about manga or any other text. I wasn't very fond of reading children books, specially to keep me motivated.
This series presents graded material (from level 0, wich it's perfect for me now) with topics and stories that aren't necessarily childish, so I really enjoy reading it, and I get a real confident booster whener I finish a story.
A bit pricey, but otherwise totally recommended!
