Can anyone recormend a good japanese - english dictionary?

Hi i want to buy a japanese - english dictionary, but i want a book instead of an online.. can anyone help? :)

Many Japanese-English dictionaries have been published.
However, I don’t know your goal, what it’s used for.
Therefore, it’s a bit hard to give you recommendation.
If you google, you can find many dictionaries and even you can have a look some of them.
Have you tried that yet?

It depends on what you want. Probably one of the best is 新和英大辞典, even though that one is also one of the most expensive. A little bit smaller and cheaper, but still quite good, would be ウィズダム和英辞典. Note that both are translating one direction only (JA->EN). If you wish both directions, there's another book from both publishers, you'll find it by switching the 和英 kanji around.

Both are also available on some 電子辞書 (I have Casio U-18000 and got both on it).
