Anki on iPod Nano?

Postby argongaku » January 15th, 2010 8:46 am

I apologize if this question has been asked before, but does anyone know how to get Anki to work on an iPod Nano? I know you can do it for iPhones and iPod Touches, but I haven't found anything about nanos yet.

I’m guessing that you can’t, simply because the older iPods don’t have that type of interface. I really don’t know, though. I’d love it if it was possible.

iAnki is essentially a cached database in Safari. It's not an application, but neither would work with a Nano. I say sell it and get an iTouch. You can get a dictionary app then as well.

Thanks for the quick responses! To bad SRS can't work on my nano.

Another related question: Does anyone know how to make the text on the nano larger? I love that we can read notes and stuff while we're listening to podcasts and lyrics to songs, but the tiny words are seriously killing my eyes.

Ulver_684,

You can't get Anki from iTunes (yet). The man who made it has not made an offical app for it. (Though I think he plans to).

Google Anki, and you can find more in the website.

In order for me to use Ankimini, I had to jailbreak my itouch. Some people prefer to use iAnki, though. Just check out the webpage. :)
