Thanks!
It's a great film, makes me cry every time.

Actually while in animation school my teacher hated anime and so did the majority of the 40 people in the course. So I organized a movie night and they watched it together in the college's theater. They were all balling at the end!

Afterwards they gave me a round of applause for showing them such a fantastic film. Even my teacher liked it, he admired the backgrounds especially. Actually out of the 40 or so people that attended only 1 didn't like it.

LOL @ the origin of Mintyfresh's name.

Squallman,
Awesome! A fellow film maker. I'm going to check out your stuff when I get home tonight. I wish I had films uploaded besides my hastily made fight scenes. I have 15 minute long horror films as well.

Ersby,
AWESOME!
You like Shenmue, it's like one of my favorite games. How the heck could I have forgot to put it on my list!? I'm mad at myself now. I love the game so much, makes me want to go to Yokosuka and see if Yamanose, Sakuragaoka and Dobuita are real places.

It's almost pathetic how much I love this game. I played it (and its sequel) solidly for about four years. When you consider that my hobbies are videogames and walking, it's perfect for me!

I know what you mean. I lived the game for years.
Paid over $100 Canadian to import the European version of Shenmue 2 for my Dreamcast. Best money I ever spent.

I love the original though, they caught the essence of what I like about Japan.
Things like the historically acurate weather really add to the realism. I love how if you play and the game date is December 13th 1987 and it's raining, then it actually was raining on that date in real life Yokosuka. Spectacular attention to detail.

I actually loved going to work on the forklifts at the harbour. Almost made me pursue a similar career here in my city.
