Oh, I see: it's a dictionary index number. The trouble is, each dictionary has its own numbering system so you have to tell us which dictionary you're using as well as what the number is. In
Kanji and Kana the kanji is number 1093, but in
Remembering the Kanji it's either 2038 or 2196 (depending which edition you use), in
Essential Kanji it's 1852, in
Kanji Learners Dictionary it's 2147, in
Morohashi it's 99, and so on: there are
lots of kanji dictionaries!
