Japanese Language Storyline

Postby Zweihander11 » January 6th, 2009 9:37 pm

Hi! I´m new to japanese language and would like to know a little more about its origin.

As far as I`m, concerned, japanese was a tribal language in the beginning and did not have written form until china came and set the use of kanji symbols. But I know nothing about dates or any other details.
I`m trying to contact japanese people over skype as language exchange partners and solve these kind of questions but I think that`s another topic...

If anyone could tell me where could I find information about that kind of history I would gladly appreciate it.
I wouldn`t mind if you´d like to tell the story yourself :D
