Name in japanese?

Postby ludakot » June 25th, 2008 4:27 pm

Hey guys, first post for me! I'm english so I'd type my name in katakana right? I wanna make sure I'm getting this right. My name is Liam so is that ライム in japanese? Thanks!

Hey Liam, I'm fairly new here, too, but I've been studying Japanese for awhile. I was wondering if you could explain the pronounciation of your name. If it's what I think I would suggest:

ライアム or リアム

However, I'm not entirely certain.

I hope this helps.

Hey. The most common pronunciation of my name is Lee-um but i've heard people say lee-am(am as in ham) I'm guessing Riyamu is the best way to do it? Thanks for the help by the way!

Hi Darien,
I would say that your name would be translated to:
ダリエン

da-ri-e-n
デレック

If you want to know how to write your name in Japanese try http://jisho.org/words/ or get http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lets-Learn-Katakana-Japanese-Writing/dp/087011719X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1294825929&sr=8-1

Are you still touting your website brad12. I think the moderators should start treating it as spam.
