What is JLPT?

Might sound stupid, but can someone please tell me what JLPT is? Thanks

The JLPT is the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
There are 4 levels.

It's produced by the Japanese government and offered at a few locations around the world once a year, the first weekend in December.

I think there's a news podcast about it, from last year.

Or do an internet search, and you can find out all about it.
