Nihonburger at McDonalds?

Postby metablue » November 25th, 2006 5:09 am

Is there a special regional burger in Japanese McDonalds?

In New Zealand they sometimes have/had the Kiwiburger, which is like the kind of burger you might get at a takeaway on the highway in the middle of the country. It has egg, beetroot, and onions, as well as the usual stuff.

Anyone else have a special burger in their country?

oh yeah, there's tons here... of course, the chicken teriyaki burger. Plus, seasonal versions come and go... right now there's one called the "グラタンクロッケバーガー". Which is a "gratin koroke burger", kind of a creamy fried cheese croquette burger (I think... haven't tasted one).

When I was in Osaka, I decided to visit a McDonalds and i had a Filet of Shrimp sandwich. It was pretty good.

Filet O' Shrimp?

Chicken Teriyaki Burger?

Gratin Korkoke Burger?

as disgusting as Mc'Donalds is,

Japan's Macdonald's specialties sound drool-worthy.

i ate at Mac Do once or twice while I was in Japan for 3 weeks.

It is actually more expensive than a lot of other food and the other food is almost always better, haha, but if you are from the US you almost have to try something at mcdonalds.

the Teriyaki burger isn't too bad, while I was there they had something called a Pita Mac which I guess is just like what it sounds, i think it had chicken or something in it.

There is so much to choose from though, try to avoid McDonalds if possible.

I agree. But it's so funny the way the waitress speaks in the MacDo. Sooooo faaaaasssstttttt... Even if you're not japanese. I mean, she can see that you cannot understand what she says at this speed (well, you catch "irrashaimase" and then your lost  ), but she just goes on, and on and on.
Very, very nice. Without further ado, let's jump right in!

The Teriyaki McBurger or whatever rocked! I really wish they had it in the states!
