Hi Chris Mezzolesta,

Thank you for the comment!

Ginkakuji is a different temple than Kinkakuji

Ginkakuji is also located in Kyoto.

Sincerely,

Miki H

Been there twice. The first time I went, and came around the bamboo fence to see it standing across the pond, I just froze in place and said, "Woah..." Beautiful place.

Is this the same as 'Ginkakuji'? There is a jazz fusion tune by Chick Corea with that title, which I've seen translated as Silver Temple. One of my favorite pieces of music (recorded by bassist Eddie Gomez, with Corea, & Kazumi Watanabe on guitar, recorded & released in Japan). Jyazu (?) no ongaku o daisuki desu!

I would love to see this. Maybe some friends of mine in Okinawa would like to go too. What I would also like to do in the mainland is explore Basho's trail. Maybe you could do a quick lesson on Basho's trail! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I look forward to seeing the temple in April of 2020. Beautiful!
