トコ in japanese manga, what does it mean?

ive been reading a heap of japanese manga recently to improve my jap, and i keep coming across this word which my dictionary cant decipher. what does トコ mean? its always written in katakana and seems to just be dropped into various sentences of every manga i read

Can you give us an example sentence?

Are you sure it's just not a shortening of ところ (place, area, spot, etc...)?
