you wanna buy a kimono!? that's like 500 bucks or more easy.
if we're talking used or old 300-400 and those might have stains on them
The kimono with long sleeves is for unmarried women. Black with a pattern only on the bottom and short sleeves is for married women.
uchikake-a full length very colorful/heavy outer jacket. normally used now for weddings and stuff.
furisode-the long sleeved one. now for umarried women, but usually worn on special occasions like graduation or weddings or such.. the longer the sleeve the higher the status.
tomesode-short sleeve black bottom pattern for married women
homongi-more of a formal kimono but wearable by any woman
theres other classifications but i'm not really sure what you call them, maybe someone japanese could help me out.

i would suggest just getting a yukata instead. it looks nice, is cheap around 40bucks or so, and is good summer wear/don't have to worry about taking extreme care with it.
