it's already november! i can hardly believe it!
but in less that 60 days, the year will be over!

by the year's end, we will have had somewhere in the vicinity of 260 lessons since last january.
can you believe that? it's almost too much for a single person to absorb!
that doesn't even include the previous year! hahahah


but as we start to wind down the year (and behind the scenes we're gearing up for next year). i thought it would be fun to hear what everyone's favorites are! preferably from this year, but really, it's all fair game!

so, i'd like to ask:

FAVORITE STORY/CONVO - Monkey Business or all the Kaidan
FAVORITE LESSON - Celebrity Survival Phrases 10 Leaving Japan
FAVORITE INTRO - the one with Yuki & and Yoshikai shooting penguins...

What has stuck out for me over this year has been these new intros. My favourite one has to be the one where the guy is buying a mobile phone, and finds out that it has a laser gun.

Or when Miki approaches a guy on the street for a date, and he immediately agrees when he hears that they will be going to JapanesePod101.com!

FAVORITE STORY/CONVO - メル and the 学長's incarceration. I was a bit disappointed when it sidetracked to Satoko's story; we never found out what happened.
FAVORITE LESSON - hard to be specific, but any of the ones with Takase hosting
FAVORITE INTRO - the one when Sakura turns down Shakespeare
FAVORITE LINE - 「たろおおぉぉぉおう！！」from Monkey Business 2. It made me laugh out loud about 10 times: an instant classic.

i'm toying with the idea of doing an Awards Show next year. not sure if everyone would be down with it or not. but it might be a fun, tongue-in-cheek thing to do next year during the 2008 holiday break.

Marky - If you do that, put a set of all the possibilities togeather about a week ahead in a newscast/jcc. Just curious, is Miki now reading the scrips before recording, to see if you stick any other surprises in her script?
