Domestic Travel Restrictions

Postby osekihan » April 29th, 2007 7:52 pm

Does anyone know what is restricted for travel within the US? Are shavers banned? I heard fruits and vegetables are too?

You mean on a plane? The biggest restriction is on liquids: must be <3oz each and all liquids must be in a 1qt ziplock bag.

I don't think there are any restrictions on safety razors or fruit/vegetables, although I haven't brought more than 4-5 pieces of fruit through ever.

Note that if you check your luggage these restrictions don't apply. You should check out the TSA web site for more details.

Yeah, I looked at that page... So I guess shavers are safety razors? Hm, never heard them called such before.

Thank you very much! :D Your reply helps a lot.

You may be asked to remove your shoes. Get a pair that you can slip on and off with no problem. Check in your luggage if at all possible, and keep carryons to a minimum. I've gotten to the point where I'll use my passport holder as my wallet, and my camera case as my small carryon. I've been able to fit camera, iPod and cell into it.
