Just been to a very, very nice Japanese centric hotel/serviced apartment in Sri Racha, Thailand. Not exactly the place would think for such a place given its distance from major resorts but it was absolutely great and very very cheap. Seems that it is serving a large JP community working at Fujitsu and other JP Co's who have locations in Eastern Thailand. It is called J-Town, and only 45 minutes by car from Pattaya, about 1.5 hours from Bangkok.
The JP resto is amazing, you can loan JP book and DVDs, and the place is quite full of native JPs.
