Hello from a Forum Newbie

Postby G San » January 17th, 2007 2:46 pm

Hello Everyone, my name is G San and this is my first time in any forum so please be kind to me as I will to you. Seriously.

I've been listening to Japanesepod almost since it started but I thought you'd have to be a paid up member (which I plan on being soon when I'm not so skint) to use the forums.

Any how it's good to be here please leave me a message.

Oh, yeah and is anyone else from England listening to the podcasts? There must be! Let me know huh?

Thanks you guys!

So Seanolan you're living in Japan? That must be cool. Do you work there or are you studying?

Both...I am studying under the guise of working in the JET programme.

It's ok living here. Once you get used to the newness of it, it's like living anywhere, with the occasional monkey wrench tossed at you for good measure. :D

It's a program for teaching English to Japanese students in Japan. Or at least I thought. Searching for it now, I get multiple Jet Programmes.

Hi G-San!

I'm listening in England, in good old Preston up in the North West, so you're not alone. I spent three weeks out in Japan last year getting awfully confused everytime I went to buy something in a shop, so I decided to get learning ahead of my next trip out there at the end of the year.

Where in England are you from?

Hey Cragtek,

Good to here from you! It's nice to know I'm not the only one. I'm way down in the Southeast in Essex. I don't really like to refer to it by name because of it's reputation (which it deserves). Where in Japan did you go?

Hi again GSan,

I was based in Nagoya, but had a two-week travel pass so visited Tokyo, Fushimi-Inari, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nara and Osaka as well as a couple of other places.

My brother-in-law's sister (if that makes sense) lives out there as an English teacher, so I stayed with her.
