No japanesepod pages since one week

Postby Alain » September 4th, 2006 12:26 pm

The last time I got a japanesepod page was more than oneweek ago.
When I try to have japanesepod page or to write to you, I get "Unknown website" , even if I shutdown the firewall.
I thought you were saturated since newsweek article, but here, in an internet café, I find you again.

What can I do? I have Norton internet security, and surely I made a mistake?

Alain-san,

Sorry to hear that you are having a problem viewing the website. From time to time we hear of listeners having difficulty accessing the site. Nine out of ten times the problem is isolated and caused by an issue on their end. In order for us to investigate such issues and identify the root cause of their problem, we need the following information:

1) Can you access the site by IP: http://216.227.222.115/?
2) Can you access the website through a free proxy such as http://www.megaproxy.com/freesurf/?
3) The physical IP address of the machine that cannot access the site. This can easily be found here: http://www.ipmonkey.com
4) A ping report by domain and by IP (japanesepod101.com AND 216.227.222.115)
5) A traceroute by domain and by IP (japanesepod101.com AND 216.227.222.115)

With the information above we can begin working with our system administrators and network engineers at identifying and resolving (if it's on our end) the issue. Typically, they are caused by a local DNS issue or a block/filter on an IP address.

I realize that this is extremely frustrating and I apologize for the inconvenience I promise to try and work with you to identify and resolve this problem.

Since you cannot access the website from home, I will also email you the information contained in this message.

All the best,

Eran
