Facebook Connect makes lessons load so slowly

For the past couple days when trying to access the lesson pages, they load incredibly slowly. It keeps waiting for connect.facebook.net for 10 minutes. I assume that is the Like button you have added to the lesson pages. Is there any way you can change it to download from your server?

Hmmm, it seems to only be a problem for me on Ubuntu. Under Windows it works fine. Perhaps it is an issue with my computer.
