Can't save bonus monthly lesson from e-mail

Postby ShiroiNeko » September 16th, 2010 10:58 pm

For the second month now I there has been no "save link" option on my e-mail, to save the monthly bonus lesson. I'm using Outlook 2003

Is there a link anywhere on the website so I can get the lesson, or perhaps they could be included in the regular podcast feed ?

We've changed how we deliver the e-mail now and provide a direct link to the lesson in the e-mail. Before this we used almost the same method but on a page.

I'm not too familiar with Outlook 2003, but am sure there is some way to save it like on other clients we've tried (maybe try right clicking then clicking 'Save As...'?). If opening the link then saving doesn't work in Outlook, try downloading via these links:

Following the the mp3 links brings a blank screen with a play bar for Quicktime. There is no method I can see to save the mp3 from here.

Are you using a Mac or Windows PC?

For Windows XP I made you a video on showing you how to save these lessons via the links I posted.
Click his link below and click play to see how I save from this message board post:

Right click on the link, click 'Save as...' or 'Save link as...' and then click the 'Save' button.
Doing this in the e-mails will work as well.

Thank you for your help - that was great !!

I still need to do some investigating why the save options are greyed out within my e-mail links.

I still get no option to right click and save this months bonus lesson from my Jpod email received in Outlook.
All Japanese Pod e-mails are marked as safe sender, so I don't think that is the problem.

It was probably not the best way, but I got the lesson by quoting your post with the link, manually changing a link to October, and right clicking and saving from that, then deleting the post when finished.

I revert to my original comment - why can't we have the bonus lesson as part of the regular podcast feed?

I agree, the bonus lessons should be part of the regular podcast feed. That's part of why I'm paying for a subscription, so I can have everything in one convenient place.
