You download the podcasts through iTunes, but you will need to get an App for the PDFs, which don't display in a user-friendly way anyway. You're better off googling for advice on the best one.

Now I need help with the Wi-Fi connection! Anyone knows how to Wi-Fi on your iPod touch? I really would like to surf the web on my iPod touch but I can't do it. Any help will really be appreciated. :(

You'll need to find a wi-fi hotspot in your neighbourhood somewhere, or buy a wireless modem. Those are your only options on that. Had the same problem myself.
