Issue "Saving link as" for pdf's with Firefox

Postby Jetsada » January 2nd, 2010 2:30 pm

Not a big issue as this works fine in IE.

When I try to right click the lesson note links and save as it seems to try and save a firefox document titled Login.

I'm running Firefox version 3.5.6 with CustomizeGoogle 0.76 & Personas 1.5 addons.

Again working fine in IE so not a major issue :karate:

Hi Jetsada,

I just tried the "Save Link As..." link in Firefox and it appears to be working for me. Is this happening for all lessons, or just certain ones? Thanks!

Hi Jessi,

It seems to work for some but the not for the majority.

Just tried another one, both the Lesson Notes and the Kanji Close Up are trying to save as 'login' Firefox document.

Try that and see how you get on, it's Lesson #171

There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it working and not...at least not that I've noticed yet.

Thanks!

Hello Jetsada-san,
Please try disabling your extensions and addons in FireFox then give it another shot. So far we have been unable to reproduce this on windows / mac FF 3+

Diasbled the add-ons but still getting the same problem. It's very odd!

I've taken a screen shot (can't post it here yet):

Sorry forgot to mention my OS info! I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Incidentally since there's been an update to Firefox and is now v. 3.5.7

I'll try disabling all plugins as well now and get back to you.

NB: Disabling plugins hasn't worked either. I've saved the login document and opened it in Dreamweaver and it is as it says the login page....perhaps it's something to do with cookies and session times?? :?:

Thanks!

Ok I think I might have fixed it, I've added http://www.japanesepod101.com to always allow cookies

Tools > Options > Privacy > Accept Cookies From Sites (checked anyway) but I added an exception in there and the first few tests seemed to have fixed it!

I will report back if not.
