Search for Lessons by Grammar Point?

Postby yumenokitsune_505400 » April 17th, 2015 5:17 pm

Is it possible to search for a grammar point and find the lessons that contain it? I'm using Japanese Pod101 as a supplement to Genki and would love to be able to listen to the podcasts that go along with what I'm learning in the textbook. I've tried searching for the grammar point but have had limited success. If I'm missing something please let me know! Love the site and the podcasts.

JH san, san,
konnichiwa.
Of course we have that function.
When you visit any page, you can see a box on the upper right, ‘search lessons & dictionary.’ You can put any key words and related lessons will apper.

Yuki,

I've tried using that with limited success. I can search but the lessons that come up don't specify what grammar point they cover or have any visible tags so I have to listen to the whole lesson to find out and most of the time it isn't what I wanted. Could lessons have tags or descriptions that say what the main grammar point is? Even when you search the results don't seem to match. For example I searched for verb passive forms. Over 15 lessons came up, most of which I had listened to, and didn't cover passive form at all. It doesn't say why it gave you those results or how closely they match what you're looking for.

san,
konnichiwa.
Please refer to curriculum.
Then I think you can find grammar points you want to practice.

Can someone please explain how you can do this with the mobile app? I have a particular grammer point that I'd like to listen to, but I can't remember the season or title. On a side note, if the lessons had subtitles with a summary of the lesson's grammer point, it would make the lessons 100% more useful.

Thanks!

Hello Wasabi Bunny,

Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately at the moment the grammar search is not available through the App.
But you can use our Grammar Bank on the site to check what you're looking for:

We hope it helps.
Cheers,
