I had an idea for an app that I was wondering if you guys could do.
I used flashcards incessantly on my phone and Ipad, but when I am underground commuting or someplace without a wi-fi or cell signal I can't keep it up, and I spend a lot of time commuting every day.
Is it possible to have a flashcard app that can be used offline but will sync to our accounts when we have online access? For example, say I do my flashcards for certain lessons offline using the app. While I am offline, my progress is not reflected in the flashcards section of my Japanesepod101 account on the Internet. However when I come back above ground and have internet access again, I can sync the app with my Jpod101 account and then my online flashcards will update to reflect the progress I made offline.
Is such an app possible?
Also, why do I occasionally get "greyed out" flashcards as an error? This is happening more and more frequently. Thanks and keep up the great work.
laiboonh-san, thank you very much for the feedback and sorry for the inconvenience I'll talk to my team about it telling them that there's another J-Pod listener with same opinion. Your feedback is really important to keep improving our site and lessons! Thank you for taking time to write your comment
Thank you for posting again. Please, send us an email to: The information we need is the device you are using to access to our site (IOS, in case it is an iPAD, as you mentioned before). Send us a description of the issue you are presenting. Also, please include your username (the one you use to log in to our site and apps).
Was this ever implemented? I just signed up as a premiere user and I use Anki for all kinds of things. I can't find anything for offline flash card use and that's 80% of my available time. I too commute underground. It's an easy thing to make.
Thank you for posting. We're working on improving the site and our system step by step. If there's an update about this feature, it will be announced as soon as it's available. Thank you for your patience.
