Postby josiah » February 4th, 2008 5:04 pm

i recommend
this film

i am watching the
animation now
excellent for
listening skills

one main character
uses polite japanese
always
so its easy to learn
what he is saying
あなたの敵を許しなさい。だが、その名前は決して忘れるな

I've seen the films and the anime, and I have 5 of the manga but I've only read one of them because they're too difficult for me. I think it's okay, but a bit stupid in places. Ryuuku's laugh cracks me up. Erika Toda looks scarily skinny in the films, but the news reporter had pretty nice legs

I think a lot of people on the forum like it, including Marky, and even superstar Ushijima.

hmmmmmmm
generally speaking, i don't like japanese movies...
so i guess it was alright. but it's a very different story from デスノ.

i wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again, but i enjoyed seeing it.
i'd say the same for デスノ, which was entertaining, but not a masterpiece or anything.

better in some ways... because it's different.
but if you're expecting Deathnote 3, don't.

it really has very little to do with Deathnote, more about who L was as a person. (there is a Deathnote connection, but I'm not saying cuz that will spoil it).
