Kohaku Uta Gassen - any way to see it in the US?

Postby earlrevans » December 23rd, 2007 5:35 am

Hi there!

I have been studying Japanese through JapanesePod101.com, and have to say it's amazing. This year, my family and I are integrating some Japanese tradition into our New Year's (and Eve) celebration. We have ordered our Osechi Ryori, and also plan to give our kids otoshidama (I am sure they will like this...).

It would be very fun to watch Kohaku Uta Gassen (even if recorded/delayed), but I cannot find or think of any way to do this. Does anyone know of a way?

Thanks, and...

Yoi otoshi o!

Try youtube. (at least anything controversial will make it there... like DJ Ozma lasy year)
or bittorrent.

and there used to be a japanese cable station in a few cities with larger Japanese populations.

the japanese groceries/bookstores near my parents' house rents videos of Japanese TV... but that might be a more lengthy delay.
