Storage Rental

Postby Kasurot » January 9th, 2009 11:09 pm

I'm planning on visiting Japan from March 20th til April 11th. I don't have any set schedule, so I'm hesitant to rent out a hotel in Tokyo for the entire time to find out that I'm only in Tokyo for half of my visit. Are there storage rentals I can rent for my luggage I don't plan on needing during, for instance, a 3-4 day trip to Kyoto?

Or is there a type of accommodation you can rent by the month as a foreigner? I see some apartments that are around the $1000 range for a month. Even a cheap hotel would be about $70/day or about $1500 for the time I'm there. However, I'm guessing a foreigner likely can't rent an apartment for a month.

Thanks,
Kevin Armstrong

There are a few, although I can't give any personal recommendation

Lots of people seem to use Sakura house: http://www.sakura-house.com
