映画館に何映画を見たいか。

Postby andhaka4435567377 » November 24th, 2012 12:52 am

昨日、英語で「007 Skyfall」を見ました。「The Hobbit]は面白いと思います。

I'm interested in knowing what movies the other people on this forum have recently watched, or are interested in watching. As always, please correct my japanese if it isn't correct (including my explanation as to why a movie in english is special).

ジョナサン

*(カナダからです。Québecの映画はフランス語です。それから、1日で週の中英語で映画を見ることができます。)*

ジョナサンさん、
Your first sentence is perfect! :D
そうですか、ケベック(Québec)では、映画はフランス語なんですか。知りませんでした。
I didn't know that movies in Québec are in French.

Do you mean "we can watch movies in English once a week" by 1日で週の中英語で映画を見ることができます?
If so, "once a week" in Japanese is 週に1回: 週に1回、英語で映画を見ることができます。 :wink:

It's been ages I haven't actually watched any movies... :(

karsing4181-san,
kon'nichiwa!

"dekimasu" means someone "can (do something)", or someone "has ability to do something".
You can use this expression alone when you say "I can do that" without specifying "what" if it's clear in
conversation context.
A: Dekimasu ka? (Can you do it?)
B: Dekimasu. (Yes, I can)

When you want to say you can do something, it takes "[verb] + koto ga + dekimasu", as in;
"kuruma o unten suru koto ga dekimasu." (I can drive a car.)

It could also be "[noun] + ga + dekimasu", as in;
"unten ga dekimasu." (I can drive.)

Hope this helps! :wink:
