Washing care translation

Postby killeruio4633 » July 19th, 2014 4:23 pm

Hey there all, I just bought a scarf and it came with washing instructions. For the most part, I can make out what the washing care instructions say, but I'm having a little confusion regarding the drying part. It says Do not dry clean or dry tumble, but does that mean I can dry it in a dryer normally? Or do I have to air dry it? Any help regarding this matter would be appreciated!

I'm not sure what you mean by "in a dryer". As far as I know, a dryer and a tumble-dryer are the same thing...

100% polyester is likely to shrink if it's dried in a tumble-drier after washing. However, you can dry it in a tumble drier as long as you use a low temperature setting and take the item as soon as it's dry. It depends also on how well-made the drier is: if the temperature setting isn't very accurate, the temperature inside the drier may still be too high even on the lowest setting.

I agree with マイケルさん... Basically scarfs are delicate so I don’t recommend you to use any machines for washing and drying.
