Hi all I just found out that I mIssed a persons birthday yesterday and I would like to congratulate them, by saying happy belated Birthday. I would like to know if this is the correct way of saying it, I know only some hiragana so if you could help me out here also, I would be very gratful.　
osoku narimashita ga kedo
おそくなりましたがけど
O tanjō-bi omedetōgozaimasu
Of course this is the phase i am struggling with in Hiragana for example the letter O's

I was reviewing an audio pod lesson here: Newbie Season 1. 14.. when's your birthday? and at 05:00 minutes I think I caught The expression correctly.

You should say
おそくなりましたが or おそくなりましたけど, either one.
However, it's not おそくなりましたがけど.
