Pay as you go Sim in Japan

I'm moving to Japan this November and I will be living there for about 8 months.
I would like to keep my mobile phone and apply for a Pay as you go Sim or max 1 year contract that included calls but also data.
Do you have any advice, can you recommend a provider that does SIM only, it seems the major one only provide with 2 years contract.

I'm looking forward to go to Japan! :oiwai:

Thanks

Giuseppe

I'm researching the same thing at the moment. I found that SoftBank do it, but I think you have to pick the card up at an airport.

I have a Japanese friend who will help me search for it, and if I remember, I'll post it here :)
