Hi everyone. I'll be travelling to Japan from Toronto, Canada in the beginning of September and will be staying for 1 year. I currently work in the culinary industry, and I'll be looking for a job in a higher end restaurant in the Tokyo area. It may be a long shot, but if anyone on this forum is or was in a similar situation or works in the culinary industry and could offer me any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, I'll be looking at staying in or near Tokyo. If anyone has any advice for finding a reasonably priced apartment close or in Tokyo it would also help me out alot
My Japanese is relatively poor right now (studying hard), but my girlfriend is a native Japanese speaker and will be accompanying me.
