Osaka University?...

Postby Outkast » March 4th, 2007 7:39 pm

I'm still toying around with the idea of doing my grad schooling in Japan, and am looking at Osaka University as the big possibility.

I know that every department at every school is different, and a great school may have a crappy department, and vis-a-vis. But just in general, does anyone have any experience with Osaka U, either at the Undergrad or Grad level, or in some other way? Anyone heard any good stories or rumors?

One thing I might want to add to that is this:

If you are doing financial aid in the states, can u be able to get aid into going to school in japan?

There actually are a number of Japanese govt grants (like Monbusho) that help foreigners to pay for education in Japan. The United States govt also has a number of grants and fellowships for it.

So while my current financial aid wouldn't last past graduation from my undergrad school, there are different types of aid available for the grad level.
